Dr. Lynn Bridgers

Dr. Bridgers is currently teaching in the Religious Studies Program at the University of New Mexico as well as in the Master of Theological Studies at EIM. She is working on her fourth book, on posttraumatic spirituality. Her previous books include The American Religious Experience, Contemporary Varieties of Religious Experience, and Death's Deceiver. She completed her doctoral studies under the direction of James W. Fowler, III at Emory University. Her current research interests include systematic theology, practical theology, religious experience, psychology of religion, human development, and spiritual transformation.

Rev. Charles C. Brown

Fr. Brown is a retired Roman Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. He has served in a variety of parishes in both the Archdioceses of Denver and Santa Fe. He has taught at Colorado State University, Washington State University, and held positions with the Extension Service at the University of Arizona and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. Fr. Brown has a continuing interest and research in the development of ethics and morality and early and medieval church history.

Dr. David Casson
Biblical Studies

Since 2003, Dr. Casson has served as associate pastor at Sandia Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, giving leadership to the congregations adult education ministries and contemporary worship services. With a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) from Emory University, David has a special interest in the encounter church members have with God through scripture. In addition to teaching at St. Norberts, David is a part-time instructor in University of New Mexicos religion department, teaching Hebrew grammar and Hebrew Scriptures. Prior to returning to graduate school, David served as Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults for five years in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a ministry he shared with his wife Debby. Both David and Debby graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1992 and spent the following year in Edinburgh, Scotland, doing youth ministry as part of a preaching fellowship.

Dr. Ken Cuthbertson
Historical Development of Christian Tradition
Ph.D., University of Iowa
Dr. Cuthbertson is a Presbyterian minister in the Presbytery of Santa Fe (PCUSA). His doctoral work in religious studies was done at the University of Iowa, with a specialization in the history of Christianity. He teaches part-time at CNM in the area of world religions. He also carries on a ministry of spiritual direction and retreat leadership.

Dr. Joanne Dupont-Sandoval
Biblical Studies
Ph.D. Marquette University
M.A., St. John's University, Collegeville
Dr. Dupont-Sandoval serves as a consultant for many ministries in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. She has taught extensively at the high school, college, graduate and adult faith formation levels in New Mexico, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Joanne and her husband presently live on a farm in the mountain village of Truchas, New Mexico.

Rev. Dr. Wallace Ford
Ecclesiology; Ecumenical and Inter-religious Theologies

Dr. Ford is ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and served in parish ministries for twenty-two years and as Executive Director of the New Mexico Conference of Churches for eighteen years. His teaching experience includes being adjunct faculty for Regis College, Texas Christian University and the University of New Mexico (Health Sciences -- Center for Development and Disability: Continuum of Care). His area of interest is in pastoral leadership and care.

Rev. Dr. Kay Huggins

Dr. Huggins is a retired Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. with thirty years experience as a pastor. She received her Doctor of Ministry degree from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1996. Her Master of Divinity degree is from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, 1974. She pastored Presbyterian congregations in rural western Pennsylvania, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Green Valley, Arizona and currently serves as part time stated supply for development in a small congregation in Albuquerque. Dr. Huggins writes adult educational materials for the Presbyterian and Methodist denominations and is active in ecumenical work.

Sr. Geneal Kramer

Sister Kramer received her D.Min. from McCormick Theological School in Chicago. She is an Adrian Dominican sister who came to Albuquerque from Germiston, South Africa where she served for four years on the staff of Lumko Institute. Prior pastoral experience is as Director of Religous Education, Pastoral Associate, Director of a Lay Pastoral Ministry Program & Associate Professor of Pastoral Studies at Athenaeum of Ohio.

Dr. Catherine Robinson
Preaching and the Art of Communication

The Rev. Dr. Catherine Robinson has been the pastor of Covenant Presbyterian since August of 2004. Catherine grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she received a B.A. in French. She completed the M.Div. at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and was ordained in 1986. Before coming to Covenant, Catherine served churches in Louisiana, Texas, and Missouri. In 2000, she completed a D.Min. in preaching at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis. Catherine is married to the Rev. Dr. William K. Hedrick (now a retired Presbyterian minister). Catherine and Bill have a son, George.

Rev. Dr. Bert Scott

The Rev. Dr. Bert Scott was born in McComb, Mississippi and grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He received a BA (1962) from Millsaps College, Jackson, Mississippi, with a degree in Philosophy; an MDiv (1966) from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky; and a DMin (1992) from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. His project dissertation was: "Spiritual Formation in College Students: Moving From Self-groundedness to an Awakening of Vocation." He is ordained in the United Methodist Church, and has served as pastor of churches in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Oregon.

Dr. Dolly Sokol

M.T.S., Catholic Theological Union, Chicago
Dr. Sokol is the Director of Development, formerly Director of Office of Worship, for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She holds a Masters Degree in Theological Studies, Word and Worship, from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago as well as a Masters Degree in Communications/Theater and a Masters Degree in Management. She has a Ph.D. in Organizational Development from the University of New Mexico. She has worked in the area of liturgy at the parish, diocesan, and national level for over 25 years. For many years Dr. Sokol served in the Office for Divine Worship and Liturgy Training Publications for the Archdiocese of Chicago. She is a well-known and enthusiastic speaker, author, and clinician.

Dr. Christina Spahn

Currently the Pastoral Associate for Faith Formation and Outreach at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Comunity in Albuquerque, Dr. Spahn has a Master's Degree in Theology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and a Doctor of Ministry from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. She was a Director of Religious Education for the Archdicese of Santa Fe from 1981-1987 and, afterwards, authored three books of adult faith workshops for the Center for Learning in Cleveland. During her eight years as a Co-Director at the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque, Dr. Spahn facilitated numerous workshops and programs and served as the editor for the Center's bi-monthly newspaper, Radical Grace, and for one of its books, Grace in Action.

Dr. Judith Todd
Scripture and Biblical Interpretation

M. Div., McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago
Dr. Todd graduated with her M.Div. from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago in 1975. She was the Associate for Mission Interpretation and Funds Development in the Presbytery of Chicago before moving to California to work on her M.A. (1982) and Ph.D. (1990) at the Graduate Theological Union. Judith taught Biblical languages, both Hebrew and Greek, during her graduate work. She then was Associate Professor of Old Testament at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City for 12 years. Judith is now the Program Director for Water in the Desert Ministries: A Christian Center for Spiritual Renewal in Albuquerque. She has co-authored two books: Living into the Answers (Upper Room, 2008) and Listen for Gods Leading (Upper Room, 2009). The books focus on developing spiritual discernment individually and corporately.

Rev. Dr. Frank Yates

Dr. Yates graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1975 with an M.Div. He later earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Texas, Austin, and did graduate work in philosophy at Texas A&M. He is currently the pastor of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque and also teaches business ethics at CNM. He is a well experienced teacher in the EIM program. He is an active member of Santa Fe Presbytery.
