Ecumenical Education for Discipleship Courses
Program Description
The Ecumenical Institute for Ministry offers a series of Non-Degree Courses that can be taken as part of a twelve-course certificate program, as preparation for the Masters of Theological Studies Program, or for personal enrichment. The curriculum for the certificate was built around three courses in the core disciplines of Christian theological education: biblical studies, theology, and the history of the Christian tradition. EIM also offers non-degree courses for building communication and interpersonal skills, for understanding the foundations for ministry and Christian ethics, and for the supervised practice of ministry. These courses, which are hosted by local area churches, have been offered continuously since 1995 in Albuquerque, and occasionally in other locations in the state. EIM offers Continuing Education Units upon request at the normal rate of one Continuing Education Unit Credit per ten hours of classroom contact hours. A student enrolled in the non-degree courses may receive one and a half Continuing Education Unit Credits per class.
